Business Development Strategist

We are a digital marketing and advertising agency in Lagos, Nigeria, committed to providing exceptional quality, result-oriented, and cost-effective solutions to our clients. Our services include social media management, SEO strategy, affordable website development, online advertisement, mobile application development, digital branding solutions, pay-per-click advertising, bulk SMS, email marketing, and search engine marketing (SEM).
We are seeking a dynamic business development strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities, developing and executing strategies to promote our products and services, and pitching to potential clients. This role requires someone with a strong background in B2B sales, skilled in using email, phone, and other communication tools to engage with potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential business clients, build relationships, and close sales to meet company revenue targets.
- Develop and deliver persuasive sales pitches and presentations tailored to client needs, ensuring clear communication of our value proposition.
- Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and conferences, showcasing our offerings and networking with potential clients and partners.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective B2B marketing strategies, campaigns, and content that drive lead generation and brand awareness.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
- Track and report on sales activities, campaign performance, and client feedback, using insights to optimize future strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners and close deals to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, or a related role, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Proficiency with the use of Google Suite applications for areas like proposal writing, pitch decks, etc. CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales automation tools.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Corporate sales and Partnership in Nigeria is a must.
Compensation:
Salary: 150,000. Commission-based bonuses (5–10%) on deals you close (% depends on deal type) reward your contributions to the company's success. Quarterly recognition programs to celebrate achievements. Rewards for outstanding performance.
