Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Relationship Manager to spearhead the acquisition of high-value Fixed Deposit (FD) and Investment funds. You will be responsible for originating significant investment portfolios while also leading, mentoring, and managing a dedicated team of Relationship Officers (ROs) to ensure their collective targets are met. You are the architect of high-value client relationships and the driving force behind the team's success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Investment Acquisition & Portfolio Growth

  2. Client Acquisition:
    Aggressively identify, prospect, and onboard High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI), corporate clients, and institutional investors to secure new Fixed Deposit and proprietary Investment funds.

  3. Target Achievement:
    Exceed individual monthly and quarterly targets for funds under management and new investment volume.
  4. Portfolio Management:
    Build and maintain deep, long-term relationships with a book of high-value clients, ensuring exceptional service, retention, and cross-selling of investment products.
  5. Market Insight:
    Stay current on market trends, interest rate movements, and competitor offerings to effectively position and sell the bank's investment products.
  6. Due Diligence:
    Ensure all client onboarding and investment documentation adheres strictly to compliance and regulatory guidelines.

2.Team Leadership & Management

  • Performance Leadership:
    Directly supervise, motivate, and guide a team of Relationship Officers (ROs) to achieve their assigned targets for client engagement and FD acquisition.
  • Coaching and Mentoring:
    Conduct regular one-on-one sessions, training, and shadowing to enhance the ROs' sales techniques, product knowledge, and client service capabilities.
  • Strategy Implementation:
    Develop and execute tailored sales strategies and action plans for the team to penetrate new markets and client segments.
  • Reporting:
    Track, analyze, and report on team performance metrics, pipeline health, and deposit mobilization activities to senior management.
  • Recruitment and Development:
    Participate in the recruitment and ongoing professional development of team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    5+ years
    of progressive experience in relationship management, with a proven track record in securing Fixed Deposit or Investment assets.
    Mandatory prior experience in a microfinance bank
    in a similar role is required.
  • Leadership:
    Demonstrated experience in successfully leading, coaching, and managing a sales or relationship management team.
  • Product Knowledge:
    Deep understanding of liability products, treasury instruments, and various investment vehicles (FDs, bonds, structured products).
  • Sales Acumen:
    Exceptional networking, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to close high-value deals.
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Compliance:
    High degree of integrity and familiarity with banking regulations and KYC/AML procedures.
