About the role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented
Finance & Operations Officer (Entry-level)
to join our growing team in Abuja. This is an entry-level role for candidates with 1–2 years of experience. You will help keep accurate books, ensure basic tax compliance, and keep the office running smoothly.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounting/Finance

  • Post daily transactions into the accounting software (QuickBooks); maintain ledgers and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare bank and cash reconciliations, petty cash management, payment vouchers, and receipts.
  • Assist with payables/receivables, vendor statements, and customer invoicing.
  • Support month-end close: journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed-asset register updates.
  • Assist with statutory filings: PAYE, WHT, VAT, Pension, NHF, collate schedules and file on time.
  • Maintain orderly document filing (physical and e-copies) for audits and reporting.
  • Support the development of budgets for new project proposals.
  • Monitor, document, and track all project-related expenses, ensuring appropriate documentation and retirement per contract terms.
  • Develop project invoices and track payments as appropriate.
  • Managing banking services and relationships, engaging with bank account officers as required.

Administrative

  • Manage front-office duties: correspondence, stationery & asset registers, meeting logistics.
  • Coordinate travel & procurement.
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, and service providers.
  • Ensure efficient office operations.
  • Coordination of welfare activities and office events.
  • Perform additional finance and administrative tasks as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

Core Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), communication, multitasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving.

Added advantage:
Experience with QuickBooks, knowledge of Nigerian tax systems, and ICAN certification or "in view".

Qualifications:
HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields. This position is open to female candidates only, as part of our commitment to gender balance and inclusion in the workplace.
