Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Post journal entries and update the general ledger.
  • Prepare bank, cash, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain petty cash and asset registers.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
  • Support budget preparation and monitor departmental budget performance.
  • Track expenses and revenue for various projects and operations.

3. Payments & Cash Management

  • Process vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and operational disbursements.
  • Review invoices, supporting documents, and ensure compliance before payment.
  • Monitor cash flow and advise management on variances or shortfalls.
  • Maintain proper controls over cash and bank transactions.

4. Compliance, Audit & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory regulations.
  • Support internal and external audit exercises.
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready financial files and schedules.
  • Strengthen internal control procedures across the finance function.

5. Operational & Cross-Department Support

  • Work closely with procurement, operations, and project teams to validate financial transactions.
  • Support project costing, billing, and financial documentation for client projects.
  • Provide timely financial information for decision-making.
  • Identify financial risks and highlight them to management.

6. Other Duties

  • Participate in financial process improvement initiatives.
  • Handle special projects and tasks assigned by the Head of Finance.
  • Represent the finance department in cross-functional meetings where required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional certification or progress toward certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
