Job Title: Growth & Commercial Partnerships Specialist
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Field-heavy / Hybrid)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Director, Growth & Operations
About VivaFemini
VivaFemini is a digital health platform transforming women's health across Africa. We connect women to trusted information, clinicians, diagnostics, pharmacy services, and ongoing support across the full journey: menstrual health and PCOS, fertility and pregnancy, sexual and reproductive health, menopause, and chronic care.
We are still in build mode, preparing for a major launch in March 2026. We now need a hands-on Growth & Commercial Partnerships Specialist who will be our first "boots on the ground" growth hire—someone who can sell the vision before the app is fully live, and ensure that when we launch, women and partners are already waiting.
This is not a desk-only digital marketing role. This is a field-heavy, sales-first, high-hustle role.
The Mission
"Build the growth engine while we build the product."
You will:
- Drive offline and online user acquisition (especially waitlist sign-ups pre-launch and installs post-launch).
- Personally hunt and close partnerships with clinics, labs, pharmacies, NGOs, and employers.
- Bring real-world feedback from women and partners back into the product and GTM plans.
By launch, we want to be able to say: "We built the product in code; you built the demand on the ground."
Key Responsibilities
1. "Boots on the Ground" Waitlist & User Acquisition
Plan and execute offline activations in:
- Markets and malls
- Hospitals and clinics
- Campuses and youth hubs
- Religious centres and community gatherings
Set up on-the-spot sign-up flows (using QR codes, forms, tablets/phones) to capture:
- Name, contact details, key interests (e.g., menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, menopause, general wellness).
Recruit, train, and support Founding Ambassadors / Community Champions:
- E.g., student leaders, nurses, influencers, women's group leaders.
- Provide them simple scripts, flyers, and incentives to drive sign-ups.
Track daily and weekly offline sign-up targets and optimize:
- Which locations, times, or formats work best?
- Which messages convert better?
2. Commercial Partnership Hunting (B2B / B2B2C)
Build and manage a pipeline of institutional partners, especially:
- Private clinics and hospitals
- Diagnostic labs
- Pharmacies
- NGOs, women's groups, and community-based organisations
- Employers and HR teams (for women's health benefits)
Book and lead sales meetings:
- Present the VivaFemini story, our vision, and how we can add value to their patients, members, or employees.
Work with the CEO & Director, Growth & Operations to shape and pitch:
- MOUs, pilots, and co-branded activations.
- Simple commercial models (e.g., referral fees, bundle pricing, wellness packages).
- Move opportunities from lead → meeting → proposal → signed agreement, and keep everything updated in a basic CRM or tracking sheet.
3. Brand Storytelling with a Sales Lens
Collaborate closely with our Digital Marketer / Brand Storytelling Officer to:
- Turn real stories and objections from the field into high-converting content.
- Ensure our social, WhatsApp, and email messages match what women are actually saying and needing.
Help refine and localise value propositions so they resonate with:
- Young women, students
- Working professionals and mothers
- Peri-menopausal and menopausal women
Suggest and co-create:
- Simple scripts, FAQs, and short videos that make it easy for ambassadors and partners to explain VivaFemini.
4. Feedback Loop into Product & Launch
Share structured insights weekly with:
- Product Managers / Product Owner
- Director, Growth & Operations
- Founder / CEO
Give concrete feedback such as:
- "Women in X area are asking more about Y (e.g., fibroids, fertility, contraception)."
- "Clinics want an easy way to see referrals and track patients."
Help stress-test and shape:
- Onboarding flows (what women expect to see first).
- Community rules and topics (what feels safe and relevant).
Support launch operations:
- Help plan and execute offline launch activities in March 2026 that convert the waitlist into real installs and active users.
5. Growth Ops, Reporting & Playbooks
Maintain simple but disciplined tracking:
- Number of events/activations
- Number of people spoken to
- Number of sign-ups from each event
- Partnership pipeline and status
Create repeatable playbooks:
- "How to run a market activation that gets 200+ sign-ups."
- "How to pitch VivaFemini to a clinic in 30 minutes."
- Work with the CEO to review:
- Which channels, locations, and tactics are worth scaling.
What Success Looks Like (First 1–6 Months)
Pre-launch (Jan–Mar 2026):
- You have personally driven and coordinated thousands of qualified waitlist sign-ups, especially through offline channels.
- You have secured at least 5–10 solid MOUs or active partnerships with clinics, labs, pharmacies, NGOs, or employers.
- You are consistently feeding useful market insights to the product and GTM teams (not just raw opinions).
Launch Window (March–April 2026):
- Your offline and partnership activities materially contribute to hitting or approaching the 30,000+ sign-up / install target.
- You can clearly show which activities and partnerships delivered the best results and at what approximate cost per acquired user.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 3–5 years in any mix of: Field Sales, Business Development, Agent Network / Field Operations, FMCG / Fintech / Healthtech activations
Strong sales and people skills:
- You are comfortable walking into a clinic, market, school, or office and starting conversations.
Evidence that you have:
- Closed deals, signed MOUs, or hit sales/activation targets in past roles.
High energy and resilience:
- You are comfortable with rejection and can keep going.
- You enjoy being on the move rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
Market fluency:
- Deep understanding of Nigerian consumer behaviour.
- Speaking one or more local languages is a strong plus.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience working with:
- Health-related products, insurance, wellness, or NGOs.
- Ambassador/influencer/community programs.
Comfortable using: Tools like Google Sheets/Excel, WhatsApp Broadcast, simple CRMs, or lead trackers.
Personal Traits:
- You are proactive: you see opportunities and act without waiting for heavy instructions.
- You are mission-driven: you care about women's health and dignity, not just numbers.
- You are ethical: you understand that we are dealing with sensitive health issues and must build trust.
What We Offer
- A chance to be a foundational member of VivaFemini's growth and commercial team.
- Close collaboration with the Founder/CEO and core team.
- The opportunity to shape how women's health is delivered in Nigeria and across Africa.
- Competitive base compensation, with potential for performance-based incentives tied to growth and partnership outcomes.
- A culture that values initiative, humility, and impact.
