Job Title: Head of Operations (Client & Business Delivery)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos (Onsite)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Operations to oversee client delivery, business operations, and organisational performance for a growing financial services company. The role combines strategic execution, client management, and operational leadership — ensuring that every client engagement and internal process runs with precision, compliance, and impact.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in financial services or fintech operations, coupled with a track record of building scalable systems, managing teams, and ensuring seamless client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Operations & Delivery


• Lead all client-facing operational activities — from onboarding to contract execution and post-implementation support.


• Design and oversee delivery frameworks that ensure projects and services are executed efficiently, on time, and to agreed SLAs.


• Partner with business development, finance, and product teams to translate client needs into actionable operational workflows.


• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, transparency, and consistent delivery excellence.

  1. Process Management & Business Efficiency


• Map, document, and optimise all operational processes — credit operations, collections, investment flows, and partner reporting.


• Implement systems that enhance visibility, accountability, and real-time monitoring of client and internal operations.


• Continuously identify process bottlenecks and lead automation or workflow optimisation initiatives.


• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting tools to track delivery timelines, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

  1. Compliance, Risk & Governance


• Ensure all operations comply with CBN, SEC, NDIC, and relevant regulatory frameworks.


• Oversee internal controls, audits, and risk-mitigation processes across client portfolios and business lines.


• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to review and strengthen contracts, SLAs, and operational policies.

  1. People Leadership & Cross-Functional Management


• Lead operations, client support, and delivery teams — ensuring alignment, motivation, and accountability.


• Coach and mentor team leads to strengthen execution discipline, reporting quality, and stakeholder management.


• Collaborate with HR and Finance to align operational capacity with business goals and client growth.

  1. Financial Oversight & Growth Enablement


• Support revenue growth by driving operational excellence in every client engagement.


• Oversee budget performance and cost optimisation across business units.


• Provide the executive team with actionable insights for better decision-making and financial sustainability.

Qualifications & Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (MBA or equivalent preferred).


• Minimum of 8 years' experience in financial services, fintech, or investment operations, with at least 3 years in a senior operations leadership role.


• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts, business lines, or large-scale projects simultaneously.


• Experience implementing CRM, ERP, or operations management systems.


• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
