Job Summary:

The Finance Manager at Independent Purchasing Company (IPC) oversees all financial and accounting operations to ensure the company's fiscal health and sustainability. The role involves driving financial strategy. maintaining internal controls, managing budgets, and providing accurate financial insights to support executive decision-making. The Finance Manager also plays a key role in ensuring that IPC's growing portfolio, including platforms such as Gosource, Daash, and other strategic initiatives, remains financially efficient, compliant, and scalable. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Strategy:
    Develop and implement IPC's financial strategy in line with corporate objectives. Provide financial insights and projections to support strategic initiatives and business growth. Conduct financial risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    Prepare and manage annual budgets across departments and business units. Monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis with corrective recommendations. Forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow for IPC's product lines and subsidiaries.
  3. Accounting and Financial Control:
    Oversee daily financial operations, including bookkeeping. reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports. Maintain strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.   4. Treasury and Cash Flow Management:
    Manage cash flow and ensure liquidity for operational and strategic needs. Supervise banking relationships, payments, and fund transfers. Optimise the use of financial resources through prudent investment and expense management.
  5. Compliance and Audit
    : Ensure full compliance with tax laws, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure prompt resolution of audit findings. Stay updated with accounting standards (IFRS) and ensure adherence.
  6. Reporting and Analysis:
    Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the CEO and Board. Develop performance metrics and financial dashboards to track profitability, cash position, and growth. Provide insights on the financial performance of key projects and initiatives such as Daash and Relay.
  7. Team Leadership

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) required
  • Minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a tech-driven or multi-unit business
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, budgeting tools, and ERP or accounting software
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
