We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Head, Account and Finance

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the Accounts and Finance department.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
  • Lead budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and engagements with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strengthen internal control systems, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Drive cost containment initiatives and improve financial efficiency across the organization.
  • Supervise, mentor, and appraise finance team members.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously identify process improvement opportunities and implement best financial practices.
  • Perform high-level financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting as required by management and the Board.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 4–5 years in a managerial/senior leadership role.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
