The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships, expand our market presence, and strengthen operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in shaping AfriPay's growth trajectory by forging key relationships and optimizing business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with universities, financial institutions, and corporate entities across Africa and Europe.
  • Lead end-to-end business development cycles—from outreach and pitching to closing and onboarding.
  • Support business operations and contribute to strategic planning with a solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Represent AfriPay at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or strategic sales, preferably within fintech, edtech, or related sectors.
  • Strong network and familiarity with the African business landscape, particularly in education or financial services.
  • Operational mindset with the ability to streamline processes and support scaling efforts.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance—enough to inform partnership models and evaluate opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages such as French are a plus.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and passionate about driving financial inclusion and educational access.
