About the Role:

Our client, a licensed insurance company, seeks a dynamic and results-driven
Insurance Marketer
to lead business development efforts within the
Oil & Energy
sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and promoting insurance and reinsurance solutions tailored to the unique risks of oil and gas operators, contractors, and energy infrastructure across the upstream, midstream, downstream, and renewable segments.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Oil & Energy sector, including corporate clients, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the company's insurance and reinsurance products.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling product proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets through consistent client acquisition and retention efforts.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and industry partners.
  • Provide professional advice on insurance coverage, policy structuring, and risk management solutions.
  • Coordinate renewals, endorsements, and policy documentation in line with client needs.

Technical & Market Engagement

  • Collaborate with the underwriting and reinsurance teams to develop competitive insurance packages for energy risks.
  • Support the preparation of quotations, policy schedules, and placement documentation for complex energy portfolios.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, pricing developments, and regulatory changes affecting oil & energy insurance.

Claims Support & Follow-Up

  • Liaise with clients and claims teams to ensure smooth claims handling and prompt settlement.
  • Provide clients with updates on claim progress and facilitate communication between insurers and reinsurers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Petroleum Engineering, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications:
    CIIN or equivalent professional insurance qualification preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 4–7 years of experience in insurance marketing, business development, or client servicing—preferably within the Oil & Energy sector.
  • Strong exposure to energy risk insurance products (Property, Liability, Machinery Breakdown, Control of Well, etc.).
  • Familiarity with reinsurance structures and placement processes is an advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the oil & gas and energy insurance landscape.
  • Excellent marketing, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to generate and convert leads into profitable business.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Profile

  • Established client network within the Oil & Energy industry.
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience marketing specialized products such as control-of-well, political risk, and renewable energy covers.
