Product Designer

We are looking for a Product Designer who combines strong user-centered design principles with strategic thinking and excellent visual craft. You'll play a key role in shaping our product experience from discovery through to deliver collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design intuitive, engaging, and impactful digital products. You'll translate complex problems into elegant, simple solutions that delight users and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Discovery

Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests to uncover insights about user needs, behaviors, and pain points.

Analyze data and feedback to inform design decisions.

Collaborate with product managers to define user problems, success metrics, and design opportunities.

1. Ideation & Concept Development

Develop concepts and user flows based on product strategy and research findings.

Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams.

Explore and validate design hypotheses through low- to high-fidelity prototypes.

1. Interaction & Visual Design

Design user interfaces and interactions that are intuitive, consistent, and visually appealing.

Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

Develop and maintain design systems, ensuring visual consistency across all platforms.

1. Collaboration & Delivery

Partner with engineers to ensure design feasibility and accuracy during implementation.

Work closely with product managers to align on priorities, timelines, and product roadmaps.

Iterate quickly based on feedback from internal teams and users.

1. Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices.

Contribute to a culture of design excellence and collaboration.

Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in design decisions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

3–5+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design.

Proven track record designing digital products (web, mobile, or SaaS).

Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

Excellent understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, and interaction principles.

Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research).

Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to explain design rationale clearly.

Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design process and impact.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with motion design, illustration, or micro-interactions.

Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/React) for better developer collaboration.

Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).

Experience in usability testing and analytics tools (Maze, Hotjar, Google Analytics, etc.).

Background in service design or systems thinking
Role

The
Forward Deployed Engineer
is a key technical lead responsible for deploying and integrating the Company's systems on the ground. You'll ensure that government platforms, local databases, and the Company's solutions work seamlessly together.

This is a hands-on and strategic role that blends
technical delivery, system integration, and stakeholder engagement
. You'll work closely with ministries, IT teams, and the Company's internal product and engineering teams to ensure reliable system performance and high-quality data for decision-making at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and integrate the Company's technology systems in-country.
• Ensure systems are interoperable with existing government and partner platforms.
• Train and mentor local technical teams to manage the systems.
• Work with ministries to enable secure data sharing and governance.
• Identify and report data quality or system performance issues.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and maintain system uptime.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align deployments with project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in system deployment, IT implementation, or technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of
  system integration, networking, and troubleshooting
  .
• Experience working with
  government or public-sector technology systems
  .
• Strong data management awareness and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Fluency in
  French and English
  (for French-speaking countries).

Preferred:

• Experience in health informatics or digital health (e.g., DHIS2, OpenMRS).
• Knowledge of data security, privacy, and interoperability standards.
