Role Overview

The Retail Finance Manager will serve as the strategic financial leader for the power storage retail vertical. This position is responsible for shaping the commercial direction of the business by driving financial planning, margin optimization, operational efficiency, and long-term profitability. The role requires deep analytical capability, strong business partnering skills, and the ability to influence decisions across sales, retail, supply chain, and service teams.

Key Strategic Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Performance Leadership

  • Lead the development of financial strategies to support growth in the r retail business.
  • Deliver executive-level insights on sales performance, margin drivers, and business risks.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for pricing, promotions, and market competitiveness.

2. Commercial & Business Partnering

  • Act as the primary finance business partner to senior retail leadership.
  • Influence key commercial decisions across product mix, channel strategy, and expansion plans.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of store expansions, new markets, and retail investments.

3. Profitability & Margin Optimization

  • Drive product/category profitability analysis across all power storage solutions.
  • Strengthen cost management, including supply chain, warehousing, logistics, and store OPEX.
  • Implement margin improvement initiatives and retail profit protection measures.

4. Operational Excellence & Controls

  • Oversee financial governance across retail stores including POS controls, cash management, and inventory integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audits, and financial reporting standards.
  • Partner with the Service Division to analyze warranty costs, returns, repairs, and after-sales KPIs.

5. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a finance team supporting retail operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Present performance updates and insights to executive management and cross-functional leadership.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA, or CPA) is a strong advantage.
  • 6–12 years' experience in finance roles; experience in retail or technical power products is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, managerial finance, budgeting, and strategic decision-making processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, optimize costs, and assess financial risks effectively.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities with a strong collaborative mindset..
