About the Role

Me-Tym Music is seeking a Music Operations Manager at our Ibadan, Oyo State Office — a strong musician and organized business professional — to oversee the daily operations and growth of our Music School (FMITI), Recording Studios, Retail Unit, and Creative Programs.

This individual will act as the central operational leader, ensuring smooth delivery of services, high-quality output, strong program execution, and effective team coordination across all music-related units.

Key Responsibilities Music School (FMITI)

  • Oversee all school operations and teaching standards
  • Coordinate programs: weekend classes, holiday programs, recitals, masterclasses
  • Manage, coach, and evaluate music tutors
  • Strengthen student experience and parent communication
  • Support curriculum quality and structure

Recording Studio Operations

  • Manage Studio One operations and support the development of Studio Two
  • Coordinate rehearsal bookings, recording sessions, and client flow
  • Work closely with studio engineers and producers
  • Ensure high production quality and client satisfaction

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Represent Me-Tym Music during school visits, community outreach, and client meetings
  • Build partnerships with schools, churches, artists, and industry professionals
  • Expand revenue streams through new programs and strategic collaborations

Retail & Sales Unit Management

  • Strengthen sales of musical instruments and accessories
  • Manage inventory, pricing, and customer requests
  • Support product bundling (e.g., instrument + training programs)

Marketing & Brand Alignment

  • Work with the marketing team to ensure high-quality brand presentation
  • Help improve classroom and studio aesthetics for photography and social content
  • Review and approve music-related promotional materials

Staff Leadership & Administration

  • Lead tutors, admin staff, and studio personnel
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews
  • Support staff training and development
  • Maintain operational documentation and submit monthly performance reports

Requirements Must-Have

  • Strong proficiency in at least one musical instrument
  • Experience in music education, performance, studio work, or creative business
  • Leadership or team management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, proactive, business-minded, and reliable

Nice-to-Have

  • Curriculum development experience
  • Audio production or engineering skills
  • Sales or business development experience
  • Event or program planning experience
