We seek a Regional Segment Leader to drive growth in West African markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for the topline business in Nigeria and contribute to fine-tuning the overall business ecosystem.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans: Formulate and execute plans to expand market share, drive sales, and achieve revenue targets within the oil and gas segment in Nigeria and other West Africa countries.
  • Market analysis and intelligence: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to effectively position Schneider Electric's offerings within the oil and gas, power & grid segment industry.
  • Customer relationship management: Build and maintain solid relationships with key customers and stakeholders, understanding their challenges, and proposing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Product and solution expertise: Collaborate with product management and R&D teams to ensure a deep understanding of Schneider Electric's oil and gas portfolio and effectively communicate the value proposition to customers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of business plans, and to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Account planning: Set up an account plan for top customers with an appropriate value proposition and drive business models, prioritizing Systems and services.
  • Pipeline development: Create a pipeline of projects to be developed with cluster and segment organizations.
  • Business leadership: Lead the overall business and propose resource synergies with Process Automation business.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Sc./B.Eng. degree in Electrical & Electronics, Control Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of commercial experience preferably in the oil & gas or power sector.
  • Market expertise: Experience within the oil & gas sector is mandatory.
  • Leadership skills: Strong initiative, self-starter, and highly organized, with great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Consultative selling: Master account management and consultative selling methods for complex solutions.
  • Innovation: Demonstrated ability to embrace diversity of thought and develop innovative ways to align strategy with customers.
  • Collaboration: Collaborative team player with the energy and ability to obtain alignment and work effectively across a complex, global matrix organization.
  • Business leadership presence: Excellent listening and communication skills, ability to articulate business trends and link actions to outcomes.
