Senior Engineer Role

Oversee BOP preventive maintenance activities, ensuring efficient and safe operations in a power generation environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise maintenance activities in the boiler section, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans, scheduling corrective maintenance and monitoring system performance.
  • Manage maintenance activities on the Enterprise Asset Management System, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform overhauls, inspections, and repairs of boiler pressure parts and valves, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Plan and monitor overhaul schedules to achieve improved reliability and prevent schedule overrun.
  • Conduct safety inspections and follow-ups on repair work, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Manage boiler spares, purchasing, stocking, and requisitioning, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure adherence to QHSE requirements in all maintenance activities, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Perform risk assessments and management of boiler systems, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Requirements
  • First Degree HND/BSc in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of work experience in industrial/power generation boiler/turbine systems.
  • Membership of NATE, NSE, and COREN is an added advantage.
Key Skills and Competencies
  • Experience in maintenance of BOP and auxiliaries, with a strong understanding of BOP operations.
  • Sound technical troubleshooting skills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Appreciable knowledge of safety requirements, power generation processes, and modern maintenance management practices.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of spare inventory management and ability to manage boiler spares.
