Job Description:

The Jenniez School of African Interior Design is seeking a skilled Retail and Beverages Professional to join our team as a Café Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing snack sales, preparing and serving beverages, and creating a welcoming environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Snack Sales and Beverage Service: Manage the sale of snacks, beverages, and other café items, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized café, including tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Restock Supplies and Monitor Inventory: Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of products.
  • Handle Cash and Mobile Payments: Handle cash, mobile payments, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Adhere to Food Safety and Hygiene Standards: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Retail or Customer Service: Experience in retail, customer service, or food service is an advantage.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Basic Knowledge of Coffee Preparation: Basic knowledge of coffee preparation or willingness to learn is required.
  • Ability to Handle Cash Transactions: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
