Job Overview

We are seeking a 
strategic, result-driven, and client-focused Business Development Manager
 to lead our growth initiatives and expand our market presence.

This role requires a dynamic professional who understands the consulting and training industry, can identify business opportunities, nurture relationships, and translate client needs into impactful solutions.

The ideal candidate is a proactive deal-closer who combines business acumen with creativity, capable of driving revenue, leading sales strategies, and positioning Crosstie as a preferred partner in organisational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

 
Business Growth & Client Acquisition

  • Identify, pursue, and convert high-value business opportunities across corporate and development sectors.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads through networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Develop and execute business strategies that align with Crosstie's growth objectives.

 
Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Monitor client feedback and implement strategies to improve service delivery and engagement.

 
Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation

  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design, package, and price solutions that meet client needs.
  • Negotiate and close deals while maintaining profitability and client value.

 
Proposal Development & Presentation

  • Oversee proposal writing, bid submissions, and pitch presentations.
  • Ensure proposals are compelling, client-focused, and delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Represent Crosstie at client meetings, networking events, and industry forums.

 
Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitors, and new service opportunities.
  • Provide periodic reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and conversion metrics.
  • Ensure CRM systems are updated with accurate client and opportunity data.

 
Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor and guide business development associates and interns.
  • Collaborate with consulting, marketing, and people development teams to align initiatives and deliver client value.

Qualifications & Experience

 
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 
    3–5 years' experience
     in business development, sales, or client relationship management (preferably in consulting, training, or professional services).
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
