Platters & Co., a vibrant restaurant known for its delicious and healthy platters, is seeking a passionate and skilled cook to join our team at our Zone 5 and Wuye locations.

About Platters & Co.:

We are more than just a restaurant; we're a community passionate about healthy eating and vibrant flavors. Our menu features an array of delectable platters bursting with fresh, local ingredients, catering to diverse dietary needs and preferences.

The Role:

In this exciting role, you will play a central part in crafting the culinary experience that makes Platters & Co. so special. You will be responsible for:

  • Menu Execution: Leading the kitchen team in preparing our signature platters and other menu items with exceptional quality and consistency.
  • Culinary Creativity: Collaborating with the head chef (if applicable) to develop new and innovative dishes that align with our healthy eating philosophy.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing food inventory, ensuring proper ordering, storage, and rotation to minimize waste.
  • Plating & Presentation: Ensuring all dishes are beautifully presented, reflecting the vibrant and healthy essence of Platters & Co.
  • Kitchen Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen environment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervising and coaching kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Adherence to Standards: Ensuring all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and quality control procedures.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Working effectively with other kitchen staff, servers, and management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as cook in a fast-casual or fine-dining restaurant environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for healthy and innovative cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation practices, and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and cleanliness.
