Associate, Events and Partnerships

About Tullopy
Tullopy isn't a network. It's a Nigerian youth uprising against the 42% unemployment's chokehold. We arm grads, hustlers, freelancers, and bootstrap startups with street-smart skills and killer connections, flipping theory into empires.
Locked on SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work), we ditch lectures for pitch roasts, revenue-hacking hackathons, and mogul mentorships. Networks? We weaponize them: freelance feasts, investor hooks, co-founder sparks from Abuja alleys to global wins. Rural rebels and urban underdogs? You're our priority for explosive, inclusive growth.
From Naija roots to worldwide reach, as a non-profit firestarter, we've ignited confidence bombs, unbreakable tribes, and job-creating infernos. Tullopy doesn't build careers. It forges legends. Dare to disrupt? Join the rebellion.
Job Summary
We're seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Associate, Events and Partnerships, to join our team and amplify Tullopy's impact. In this role, you'll identify, plan, execute, and moderate events that embody our vision of bridging education and economic empowerment. You'll also scout and nurture partnership opportunities to expand our reach, fostering collaborations that drive community growth and sustainable change. If you're passionate about youth empowerment, event innovation, and building meaningful relationships in Nigeria's vibrant ecosystem, this is your chance to make a tangible difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify high-impact event opportunities aligned with Tullopy's mission, such as pitch simulations, networking workshops, and virtual hackathons. Plan and execute these events end-to-end, from concept development and logistics to on-site moderation and post-event evaluation, ensuring they deliver practical skills, resilience-building, and community ties.
- Proactively scout and cultivate partnerships with universities, NGOs, startups, government bodies, and corporate sponsors to co-create events and initiatives that support SDG 4 and 8 goals. Build and maintain strong relationships through outreach, proposal drafting, and ongoing collaboration.
- Moderate live and virtual events to foster inclusive discussions, integrate feedback for continuous improvement, and measure outcomes like participant network growth, skill acquisition, and job/freelance opportunities generated.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events via Tullopy's platform, social channels, and partner networks. Create compelling recaps, impact reports, and case studies to showcase success stories.
- Monitor event and partnership metrics (e.g., attendance, engagement rates, partnership conversions) and contribute to quarterly reports that demonstrate Tullopy's role in economic resilience and youth empowerment.
- Work closely with the community, education, and growth teams to align events with broader platform goals, including navigating policy changes and supporting rural/underserved urban participants.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 1-3 years in event planning, partnerships, or community management, ideally in non-profits, education, or youth-focused organizations. Experience in Nigeria's startup or social impact ecosystem is a strong plus.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and project management abilities; strong communication and facilitation skills for moderating diverse audiences; proficiency in tools like Google Workspace, Eventbrite, Zoom, or Canva. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) is advantageous.
- Mindset: Passionate about social impact, with a creative problem-solver's approach to turning challenges into opportunities. Comfortable in a fast-paced, remote environment; culturally attuned to Nigeria's youth landscape; and committed to inclusivity and equity.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience in entrepreneurship/impact work.
- Other: Fluency in English; knowledge of Pidgin or local languages is a bonus. Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person events.
What We Offer
- Impactful Work:
Be at the heart of a movement that's quietly transforming Nigeria's youth—one event, one partnership at a time. - Growth Opportunities:
Hands-on learning in a collaborative, non-profit environment with mentorship from social impact leaders. - Flexible Culture:
Remote-first with flexible hours to accommodate side hustles or studies; competitive stipend/salary for a non-profit, plus performance-based incentives. - Community Perks:
Access to Tullopy's network for personal/professional growth, exclusive events, and connections to like-minded changemakers. - Wellness Support:
Mental health resources and team-building activities to sustain your passion for the mission.
