Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), located in Lagos. The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the firm's leadership, oversee all financial functions, provide financial stewardship, and enable sustainable growth. You will also play a key role in shaping the firm's strategy, optimizing profitability, ensuring long-term financial resilience across jurisdictions, as well as driving compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership, Financial Management, Stakeholder Management)
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Committee, and contribute to overall firm strategy.
  • Advise on capital structure, partnership distributions, and funding models across the firm.
  • Lead financial due diligence and integration for cross-border expansions or mergers.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting compliant with IFRS and local standards.
  • Lead scenario analysis, revenue modeling, and profitability assessments by practice group and region.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the board and all other senior stakeholders.
  • Support external relationships with banks, tax authorities, auditors, and regulators.
  • Optimize working capital (including client billing, collections, and WIP management).
  • Lead risk assessment and financial controls across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee internal audits and maintain robust governance frameworks.

Qualifications Required

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally with exposure to professional services, law firms, or consulting firms.
  • MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Certifications:
    Certified Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, FCA)
    required.
  • Experience operating in multi-country, multi-currency environments.
  • Deep understanding of partner-driven business models
  • Executive presence for Board/regulator engagements.

Remuneration (Negotiable): NGN3m -NGN4m Net Monthly (Based on Experience)
