Role Purpose
The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that all physical infrastructure, utilities, and technical systems at VEIN operate flawlessly during business hours. This role exists to eliminate operational disruptions, protect revenue, and maintain the premium guest experience.
The Facilities Manager is accountable for preventive maintenance, rapid issue resolution, vendor management, and system readiness across the club
.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure & Systems Management
Oversee the functionality of all club infrastructure, including:
Power supply and generators
Air conditioning and ventilation systems
Lighting, sound, and electrical systems
Plumbing, restrooms, and water supply
Back-of-house facilities and storage areas
Ensure all systems are fully operational before opening hours.
Conduct daily pre-opening facility checks and post-shift assessments.
- Preventive Maintenance
Develop and enforce a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment.
Anticipate potential failures and address them before service hours.
Maintain logs for maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
Ensure availability of backup systems (fuel, spare parts, emergency tools).
- Issue Resolution & Emergency Response
Respond immediately to facility-related breakdowns during operations.
Resolve issues discreetly to avoid disruption to guests.
Coordinate emergency repairs without escalating routine issues to senior management.
Be available during operating hours or on-call as required.
- Vendor & Contractor Management
Manage all facility-related vendors (AC technicians, electricians, plumbers, generator service providers, cleaners, etc.).
Negotiate service agreements and ensure timely delivery of services.
Supervise contractors on-site and ensure compliance with VEIN standards.
Control costs while maintaining service quality.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure the club complies with safety, fire, and environmental standards.
Identify and mitigate facility-related risks.
Ensure emergency exits, fire equipment, and safety signage are functional and compliant.
Support management during inspections or audits.
- Reporting & Accountability
Provide daily or weekly facility status updates to management.
Flag risks early and propose corrective actions.
Maintain inventory records for tools, equipment, and consumables.
Track facility-related expenses and budgets where required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Zero critical facility failures during operating hours
- Reduced emergency repairs through effective preventive maintenance
- Response time to facility issues during live operations
- System uptime (power, AC, sound, lighting)
- Cost control and vendor performance
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, Maintenance Manager, or similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Experience managing generators and power systems (mandatory)
- Prior experience in hospitality, nightlife, hotels, or entertainment venues is an advantage
- Ability to work night shifts and respond under pressure
