ECS Retail Solutions is expanding, and we're looking for a highly driven
Function Head – Warehousing & Projects Division
to lead our growing vertical focused on
industrial racking systems, warehouse infrastructure, and end-to-end storage solutions
.

This is a
techno-commercial leadership role
— primarily commercial, but requiring enough technical understanding to engage confidently with customers and internal technical teams.

What You'll Lead

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Drive conversions across our strong existing pipeline of racking and warehousing projects.
  • Identify and win new opportunities within warehousing and industrial storage systems.
  • Develop accurate commercial proposals with support from design and costing teams.
  • Maintain a strong sales funnel through consistent lead generation and follow-up.

2. Customer Relationship Ownership

  • Manage key accounts — ensuring fast communication, excellent service, and long-term satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary interface for all active and new warehousing projects.
  • Track project progress and leverage ECS's pipeline to drive short- and medium-term revenue.

3. Market Intelligence & Competitor Awareness

  • Study competitor pricing, designs, and delivery structures to position ECS competitively.
  • Provide insights on market trends and customer preferences to shape strategy.

4. New Product & Solution Innovation

  • Identify gaps in the market and emerging needs for new racking or warehouse optimization products.
  • Work with technical staff to conceptualize and test new offerings.

5. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Liaise with vendors for quotations, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain cost-efficient procurement and an updated database of approved suppliers.

6. Technical Coordination (Non-Hands-On)

  • Understand racking systems enough to guide client conversations confidently.
  • Collaborate with technical engineers to ensure accurate designs, BOQs, and proposals.

7. Leadership & Reporting

  • Achieve sales, margin, and growth targets for the division.
  • Coach and mentor a small team for stronger performance.
  • Provide structured weekly/monthly reports on pipeline, project status, and profitability.

Who We're Looking For

Education

  • Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • Bonus: Training in sales, supply chain, or project management.

Experience

  • 5–10 years
    in warehousing solutions, industrial racking, or project-based techno-commercial roles.
  • Proven track record managing full commercial cycles and closing significant projects.
  • 3–5 years
    in a senior or function-lead role.

  • Vendor negotiation and procurement experience.
  • Ability to understand warehouse/racking layouts, BOQs, and customer requirements.
  • Leadership, pipeline management, and disciplined reporting.
