
Managed IT Services Business Development Executive

The Digital Technology Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for Managed IT Services. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and other technology solutions.
The candidate will work closely with clients to understand their needs, present tailored solutions, and manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing. This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience in selling complex IT services and managing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development and Lead Generation
- Identify and target new business opportunities for Managed IT Services, including cloud solutions, network management, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by prospecting, qualifying leads, and building relationships with key decision-makers.
- Engage with potential clients through direct outreach, cold calling, networking events, and partnerships.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their managed IT service needs.
- Conduct in-depth discovery meetings to understand client requirements, business challenges, and technology needs.
- Present customized solutions that align with client objectives, addressing pain points such as IT downtime, security vulnerabilities, and scalability issues.
- Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the client base for Managed IT Services.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, solutions architecture, and operations) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals, RFPs, and pricing options to potential clients, ensuring alignment with their business goals and IT needs.
Managed IT Services Expertise
Maintain a deep understanding of the Managed IT Services landscape, including cloud services, data backup, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management. Stay updated on emerging technologies and market trends to provide clients with the most relevant and competitive solutions.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) during client engagements, providing insights into how managed IT services can address their business challenges.
Sales Process and CRM Management
Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation through to closing, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. Use CRM tools (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics) to track sales activities, manage client interactions, and update pipeline information.
Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
Candidate Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Sales, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in IT sales, preferably with a focus on managed IT services, cloud computing, or IT consulting.
Proven track record in achieving or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment. Strong understanding of managed IT services, including network management, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and IT infrastructure.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a consultative approach to selling. Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot) for sales tracking and reporting.
