Market Growth Specialist

The Market Growth Specialist will drive business expansion by sourcing and acquiring new vendors, ensuring seamless onboarding, and fostering long-term relationships with key market players. This role requires extensive fieldwork, including vendor engagement, product assessments, and data-driven decision-making to optimize product performance on the platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and acquiring new vendors through direct engagement and market research.
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, emerging brands, and product categories that align with marketplace goals.
  • Driving sales efforts by promoting the benefits of joining the platform and expanding its vendor base.
Vendor Onboarding Process:
  1. Guiding vendors through the registration process, ensuring they understand the platform's policies and how to list their products.
  2. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure vendors are properly set up in the system and their product catalogs are accurate.
Field Work and Market Engagement:
  • Spending substantial time in the field, visiting vendors at their market locations and conducting live product assessments.
  • Collecting feedback from vendors to better understand their needs, market conditions, and competition.
Performance Metrics:
  • Successfully onboard new vendors and increase product variety and volume.
  • Ensure vendor retention and continued engagement with the platform.
  • Achieve sales targets related to vendor acquisition and product performance.
  • Provide timely resolution of vendor issues and maintain a high level of vendor satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in field sales, vendor acquisition, or business development, ideally in an e-commerce or retail setting.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, particularly in face-to-face, field-based sales.
  • Proven track record of successfully onboarding and managing vendors.
  • Proximity to the allocated markets will be an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
