The Market Growth Specialist will drive business expansion by sourcing and acquiring new vendors, ensuring seamless onboarding, and fostering long-term relationships with key market players. This role requires extensive fieldwork, including vendor engagement, product assessments, and data-driven decision-making to optimize product performance on the platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Sourcing and acquiring new vendors through direct engagement and market research.
- Conducting market research to identify trends, emerging brands, and product categories that align with marketplace goals.
- Driving sales efforts by promoting the benefits of joining the platform and expanding its vendor base.
- Guiding vendors through the registration process, ensuring they understand the platform's policies and how to list their products.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure vendors are properly set up in the system and their product catalogs are accurate.
- Spending substantial time in the field, visiting vendors at their market locations and conducting live product assessments.
- Collecting feedback from vendors to better understand their needs, market conditions, and competition.
- Successfully onboard new vendors and increase product variety and volume.
- Ensure vendor retention and continued engagement with the platform.
- Achieve sales targets related to vendor acquisition and product performance.
- Provide timely resolution of vendor issues and maintain a high level of vendor satisfaction.
- 2-4 years of experience in field sales, vendor acquisition, or business development, ideally in an e-commerce or retail setting.
- Strong understanding of sales techniques, particularly in face-to-face, field-based sales.
- Proven track record of successfully onboarding and managing vendors.
- Proximity to the allocated markets will be an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
