Role Summary

The Business Development Consultant (BDC) will be responsible for lead generation, prospect engagement, solution pitching, deal closure, and revenue growth across SGSL's solution portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities (SMEs & Enterprises)
  • Engage prospects via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and meetings
  • Present SGSL solutions (Contact Center, CRM, Outsourcing, ERP, AI Solutions)
  • Manage the sales pipeline from lead to deal closure
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Client Engagement

  • Understand client pain points and propose suitable solutions
  • Prepare and follow up on proposals, quotations, and demos
  • Maintain professional relationships with prospects and clients

Reporting & CRM

  • Log all activities in the CRM system
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
  • Track leads, conversions, and revenue achieved vs targets

KPIs & Performance Metrics

  • Number of qualified leads generated weekly
  • Demos/meetings booked and completed
  • Deals closed and revenue generated
  • Pipeline value vs monthly target
  • Follow-up compliance and CRM accuracy

Compensation Structure

  • Base Pay: ₦100,000 monthly/ Base pay increase to ₦150,000 after Three-month probation period
  • 5% Commission on Closed Deals
  • Accelerated Commission for Target Exceedance

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–3 years' experience in B2B sales, business development, or solution selling
  • Experience selling technology, telecoms, SaaS, outsourcing, or services is an advantage
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable with targets and performance tracking
  • Basic understanding of CRM tools and sales processes
