Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role of SME Loan Officer, based in Lagos. The SME Loan Officer will be responsible for assessing loan applications, underwriting, and facilitating loan origination processes for small and medium-sized enterprises. Key daily responsibilities include evaluating financial information, ensuring compliance with lending policies, and providing exceptional customer service to both prospective and existing clients. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop and manage productive financial relationships.

Qualifications

  • Experience in loan origination and underwriting with a strong understanding of lending processes
  • Experience in an MFB

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and working with loans catered to small and medium-sized enterprises
  • Customer service expertise to maintain positive client relationships and support business needs
  • Knowledge or experience in finance and loan officer responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and an analytical mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations and SME markets is an advantage
