ROLE SUMMARY

At GLI Consults, the Associate Consultant plays a critical role in supporting client engagements across research, business audits, business plan development, strategy development, financial modeling, operational restructuring, and growth advisory. The role requires strong research capability, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to convert raw client data (transcripts, interviews, operational gaps) into structured insights and actionable recommendations.

The Associate Consultant works closely with senior consultants to deliver high-quality outputs that drive tangible growth for clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

A. Business Audits & Strategy Development

  • Support end-to-end business audit engagements: document review, interviews, data analysis, and identification of operational gaps.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies, growth roadmaps, operational frameworks, and organizational restructuring plans.
  • Assist in designing strategic models, e.g., market entry, product expansion, team restructuring, process mapping, and customer journey frameworks.

B. Funding Readiness & Investor Documentation

  • Lead the development of business plans, financial models, pitch decks, investment memos, and financial readiness documents for SMEs and startups.
  • Conduct market research, TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, competitor mapping, and feasibility assessments.

Documentation & Deliverable Creation:

  • Draft high-quality client documents, including:
  • Strategy decks
  • Business Plans
  • Financial Model
  • Pitchdeck
  • Business Audit Reports
  • Meeting reports (MPRs/NPRs)
  • SOPs & operational frameworks
  • Proposals
  • Process documents
  • Translate raw transcripts and client conversations into clear, structured reports with actionable next steps.
  • Maintain consistent formatting, version control, and template standards.

D. Client Engagement & Project Coordination

  • Participate in client calls, workshops, and field assessments; document key insights and follow-up actions.
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, client feedback, and internal workflows.
  • Ensure timely delivery and communication across project stages.

E. Internal Operations & Product Support

  • Contribute to internal consulting templates, methodology updates, and knowledge resources.
  • Support the development of GLI products, leadership courses, and capacity-building programs.
  • Participate in internal brainstorming, strategy reviews, and quality assurance sessions.

REQUIIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or any relevant field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in consulting, business analysis, project coordination, or similar roles.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong research and analytical capability.
  • Excellent writing and documentation ability (very important for GLI deliverables).
  • Competence in PowerPoint, Excel/Sheets, Docs, and presentation design.
  • Ability to build structured consulting documents with clarity and logic.
  • Basic understanding of business finance and financial modelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects and meet deadlines consistently.
