This is an opportunity to head the Emerging Corporates segment of a top financial institution — driving growth, credit quality, and sector-focused expansion across Nigeria.

What You'll Lead

  • A national Emerging Corporates portfolio with strong lending appetite.

  • A team of Relationship Managers and Team Leads across multiple regions.

  • Sector-growth strategies across FMCG, Trading, Manufacturing, Energy & more.

  • Large credit structuring, deal origination, and P&L responsibilities.

  • This role is built for someone who enjoys building high-performing teams, closing complex deals, and running a clean, profitable book.

What You Will Do

  • Set and execute the growth strategy for the Emerging Corporates business.

  • Drive portfolio quality, credit structuring, and regulatory compliance.

  • Acquire and deepen relationships with fast-growing mid-sized companies.

  • Unlock cross-sell opportunities across trade, treasury, lending & digital.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop RMs to deliver consistent revenue results.

Who We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • 12–15+ years in Commercial/Business/Emerging Corporate Banking.

  • Strong lending and credit structuring experience.

  • A track record of growing a profitable mid-sized portfolio.

  • Experience managing Relationship Managers across regions.

  • Deep sector understanding (FMCG, Trading, Manufacturing, Distribution, etc.).

  • A leadership style that brings out the best in people.

  • This is ideal for a Regional Head, Group Head, Senior RM (Emerging Corporates) or Head of SME+ / Business Banking ready for a bigger platform.
