Laundry Operator

Job Description:
The Laundry Operator is responsible for the day-to-day processing of client garments and linens, ensuring high-quality cleaning, finishing, and timely delivery. The role involves operating industrial washing, drying, pressing, and folding equipment while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards. The operator ensures that customer satisfaction, equipment care, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor washing machines, dryers, steam irons, and pressing equipment.
- Sort, tag, and prepare laundry items according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
- Measure and apply the appropriate detergents, chemicals, and stain removers per fabric type.
- Inspect garments for damage, stains, or missing items before and after cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area at all times.
- Perform basic maintenance checks and report equipment faults promptly.
- Handle client orders with accuracy and care to ensure timely delivery.
- Follow safety and hygiene procedures in handling chemicals and laundry equipment.
- Record production data (loads completed, items processed, equipment usage, etc.).
- Support customer service when needed (receiving, packaging, or dispatching laundry).
