Overview

The Deputy Sales Head will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive business growth and profitability within the bakery and flour sector. This role oversees both B2B and B2C sales operations, ensuring strong market penetration, sustainable revenue growth, and high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, exceptional leadership ability, and a proven record of achieving sales targets in the bakery, flour, or food processing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Drive profitable sales growth through strategic planning, execution, and effective team management.

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the sales team — including coaching, training, and incentive programs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners in the bakery and flour markets.

  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to monitor stock levels and align sales forecasts with production capacity.

  • Identify and address training and professional development needs within the sales department.

  • Prepare, manage, and track sales budgets, ensuring financial discipline and goal alignment.

  • Provide regular sales reports, market intelligence, and competitor analysis to senior management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role within the bakery, flour, or food processing industry.

  • Strong experience in B2B sales, with exposure to B2C, brand management, and consumer marketing.

  • Demonstrated success in business development, team leadership, and key account management.

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

  • HND/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of market trends in bakery and flour production.

  • Proven ability to launch and scale sales programs across multiple channels.

  • High degree of initiative, adaptability, and results orientation.
