Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Executive Director to lead Aviot Industries Nigeria in its pursuit of excellence.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing organizational strategies, goals, and objectives that align with the company's mission and values.
  • Collaboration with the Board of Directors is essential to set vision and direction for the organization.
  • Ensuring alignment with stakeholders, partners, and industry trends is critical to drive growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and Implement Organizational Strategies
    • Create and execute plans to achieve company objectives, leveraging industry trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors
    • Work closely with the board to establish the organization's vision and direction, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and industry trends.
  • Ensure Alignment with Stakeholders
    • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and industry leaders.
Operational Oversight
  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations
    • Oversee the efficient management of daily operations, ensuring effective resource allocation and minimizing costs.
  • Supervise Senior Management Team
    • Provide guidance and support to senior managers, empowering them to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Oversee Budgeting and Financial Planning
    • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and strategic alignment.
Leadership and Management
  • Foster a Culture of Innovation
    • Encourage a culture of innovation, experimentation, and calculated risk-taking to drive business growth.
  • Develop and Implement Talent Management Strategies
    • Design and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Ensure Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
    • Promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of respect and empathy.
External Relations
  • Represent the Organization Globally
    • Represent Aviot Industries Nigeria globally, building strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Develop Partnerships and Collaborations
    • Develop and maintain partnerships and collaborations to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Engage in Advocacy and Public Affairs
    • Advocate on behalf of the organization, promoting its mission and values in public forums.
Governance and Compliance
  • Ensure Organizational Compliance
    • Ensure the organization's compliance with laws, regulations, and standards, maintaining strong governance practices and transparency.
  • Maintain Strong Governance Practices
    • Establish and maintain strong governance practices, ensuring accountability and transparency throughout the organization.
  • Oversee Risk Management and Internal Controls
    • Develop and implement risk management and internal controls to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity.
Financial Management
  • Develop and Manage Budgets
    • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and strategic alignment.
  • Oversee Fundraising and Philanthropic Efforts
    • Develop and implement fundraising and philanthropic strategies to secure resources and drive business growth.
  • Ensure Effective Resource Allocation
    • Ensure effective resource allocation, minimizing waste and maximizing returns on investment.
Communication
  • Serve as Primary Spokesperson
    • Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization, communicating its vision and values to stakeholders and industry leaders.
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies
    • Design and implement communication strategies to promote the organization's brand and values.
  • Foster Open Communication Channels
    • Encourage open communication channels throughout the organization, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, innovation, and transformation.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.

Salary

N1,500,000 - N2,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
