Role Description

Our client is seeking a full-time, on-site Head of Marketing and Communications located in Lagos. The role involves strategizing, planning, and overseeing the execution of marketing and communication efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of communication plans and programs that support the organization's activities and initiatives
  • Create an environment which fosters trust and transparent and open communication
  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategies for Coronation to effectively engage with a larger, broader, and more culturally diverse audience
  • Respond to complex and sensitive questions, anticipate reactions to messages and adapt communications accordingly
  • Oversee the utilization of existing digital media platforms and tools in driving the organization's marketing efforts and influencing customer buying decisions
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of programs aimed at promoting the company in the best way possible.
  • Supervise content creation for the target market across digital marketing channels and media platforms.
  • Develop processes to create a seamless online presence over web, social, mobile, and other digital platforms
  • Develop new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, local and global community service and other topics of interest.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Mass Communication, Journalism or any related field.
  • Relevant post-graduate/professional qualification such as MBA will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' relevant work experience
  • Able to select relevant content and write basic marketing copy in various formats including text, links, video, visual and more
  • Able organize information and findings and share them within organization
  • Excellent communication and business presentation skills
  • Digital savvy and ability to drive and interpret data analytics
  • Understanding of the digital world and the disruptive opportunities being created
  • Good knowledge and understanding of media and public relationship strategies.
  • Ability to think strategically, and drive for results
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Adobe Photoshop
