Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Saturday)
Job Summary
The Junior Sales Specialist plays a crucial frontline role in driving both retail and wholesale sales at the Sangotedo branch. This role combines active selling, inventory support, and customer engagement, ensuring an outstanding experience for walk-in buyers and business customers. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator and results-driven salesperson who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Revenue Growth
- Engage retail walk-in customers and wholesale clients to maximise sales opportunities.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to boost transaction value.
- Convert foot traffic and inquiries into bulk orders.
- Support the Senior Sales Specialist in meeting branch revenue targets.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Deliver excellent customer service, offering tailored solutions and product recommendations.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and encourage repeat purchases.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the customer base.
Inventory & Sales Operations
- Assist in managing inventory levels, restocking, and stock display.
- Ensure proper documentation of all sales transactions and daily reporting.
- Monitor pricing accuracy and communicate stock updates to customers.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure timely stock availability.
Sales Strategy & Market Feedback
- Monitor competitor activities and share feedback with management.
- Support promotional campaigns and in-store activations to drive sales.
- Contribute to improving store layout, product presentation, and merchandising.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND/Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, or B2B sales.
- Strong selling, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent multitasking and organisational abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in using sales tracking systems or POS tools.
