ABOUT THE COMPANY
MR. GBADEBO, OLATUNDE OLAMERUN Is the managing director of Gafford Group, an investment group with interests in real estate development and Construction, Automobile and insurance Agency organization. Gafford properties and investments is a real estate company that specializes in real estate developments, buying, selling and management of various real estate investments for clients and investors; GOF Autos Limited is an Auto sales clinic that deals in sales and service of brand new cars and articulated trucks, Oven-bake of vehicles, Refurbishing, Upgrading, Auto-repair and general Auto-servicing and maintenance while GBADEBO OLAMERUN AGENCY [GOA] is an independent insurance agency arm, With two (2) decades of professional insurance transactions in life, non-life and annuity businesses, recruitment and retainer-ship expert, master strategists, master drivers for big volume premium initiatives and in-depth experience in insurance agency operations.
Prior to establishing above fast growing subsidiary companies of Gafford Group, he has played an important role in the insurance industry occupying various executive capacities including former president - Association of registered insurance agents of Nigeria (ARIAN), National agency coordinator, SUNU Assurances Plc, Agency Manager AIICO Insurance Plc and many other positions. He is a quick learner who can create new ideas and can communicate clearly and effectively when working with people at all levels. Gbadebo is a distinguished member of Chartered Institute of Insurance, Nigeria (CIIN), and Member Institute of Chartered Economist. (ICEN), Member Chartered Institute of Cost Management, Fellow of the Association of Registered Insurance Agent of Nigeria. (FARIAN), Fellow of the Professional Excellence Foundation of Nigeria (FPEFON). He holds an M.SC. In Cost Management from the Ladoke Akintola University (2010), HND in Banking & Finance form Lagos State Polytechnic. He is happily married with children.
JOB SUMMARY
RequirementsEducational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's Degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) is an added advantage.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management Proven track record of managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.Skills: Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Personal Attributes: High level of integrity and confidentiality. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational and time management skills.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems). Understanding of payroll systems and benefits administration. Knowledge of performance management systems and employee engagement tools.Professional Development: Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Participation in HR conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay updated with industry trends.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key DutiesRecruitment and Staffing: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Conduct interviews, selection processes, and onboarding of new employees. Maintain a database of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.Employee Relations: Serve as a liaison between management and employees to resolve issues. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.Performance Management: Develop and implement performance appraisal systems. Monitor and evaluate employee performance. Provide feedback, coaching, and career development support.Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop training programs. Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other development activities. Ensure continuous learning and professional development of staff.Compensation and Benefits: Design and manage compensation structures and benefit programs. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Conduct salary reviews and manage payroll administration.Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.Health and Safety: Develop and implement health and safety policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Promote workplace safety and wellbeing initiatives.HR Analytics and Reporting: Collect and analyze HR data to inform decision-making. Prepare and present regular reports on HR metrics. Use data to drive HR strategy and improve organizational performance.Strategic HR Planning: Align HR strategy with the company's goals and objectives. Develop workforce planning and succession planning strategies. Participate in organizational development and change management initiatives.Employee Engagement: Develop and implement employee engagement programs. Conduct surveys and analyze feedback to improve workplace satisfaction. Organize team-building activities and events.
