Sales Data Analyst

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Sales Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making for our sales organization. The ideal candidate will analyze sales performance, forecast trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and drive revenue growth. This role requires advanced analytical skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex data in an actionable way.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Performance Analysis:
Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Provide insights into sales team performance, lead conversion rates, and revenue forecasting.
Forecasting & Reporting:
Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts using historical data and market trends.
Create detailed reports and dashboards to monitor sales KPIs, such as pipeline velocity, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV).
Data Strategy & Management:
Design and implement data models to evaluate sales strategies and outcomes.
Ensure data integrity across CRM and analytics platforms.
Collaborate with IT and sales teams to optimize the use of analytics tools.
Collaboration & Insights:
Partner with sales leadership to provide actionable recommendations for achieving goals.
Work closely with marketing, product, and finance teams to align data strategies with broader business objectives.
Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in sales processes and recommend data-backed solutions.
Support the implementation of tools and systems that improve data collection and analysis.
Market Analysis:
Assess competitive market trends and their impact on sales strategies.
Analyze customer data to identify key segments and inform targeting strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role.
Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Strong understanding of sales metrics, forecasting, and pipeline analysis.
Proven ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with statistical analysis tools like Python or R.
Familiarity with machine learning models for sales forecasting.
Knowledge of B2B sales processes and market dynamics.
