About the Role

Harvesters International Christian Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spiritual Development Director to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional leader to make a meaningful impact on the spiritual growth and development of our church.

Job Summary

The Spiritual Development Director will be responsible for guiding the spiritual growth and development of the church, leading discipleship programs, organizing spiritual retreats, and providing pastoral care. This role will also involve inspiring and engaging the congregation in their spiritual journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and coordinate effectively and efficiently the Ministry and Maturity teams by developing plans, objectives, programs, and processes.
  • Be responsible for the growth, development, management, and expansion of the volunteer workforce.
  • Create serving opportunities and deploy them to fill these positions.
Strategy/System
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies, structures, systems, and processes that enable the all-round growth of team members.
  • Ensure departmental small groups are created and functional within the workforce.
  • Liaise with the Small Groups Coordinator to achieve set goals.
Execution
  • Responsible for coordinating all activities of the Maturity and Ministry team by providing guidance and direction.
  • Guide the work of these teams, including yearly planning and presiding at its meetings.
Supervision and Monitoring
  • Constantly evaluating results and strategies to deliver on the objectives of the teams.
  • Ensure and facilitate the submissions of reports by subordinate offices in respect to progress made on projects, plans, and programs.
  • Maintain and update the workforce database.
People Discovery
  • Discover, train, and deploy new members to serve in the church.
  • Review and conduct periodic performance checks.
  • Responsible for the training and deployment of leaders.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is recommended.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years' work experience, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Must have worked in a managerial role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms.
  • A committed born-again Christian with a personal and active relationship with God.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • An effective, collaborative team leader who can mobilize and bring the best out of the team they work with.
  • A self-starter.
  • Good supervisory, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Must have a good understanding of the principles of administration and time management.
  • Experienced budget holder, with the ability to work within budgetary constraints.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
