About Us:

FMCG Search is a leading recruitment agency specializing in FMCG industry jobs. We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our client, a multinational distributor of chemicals across emerging markets.

Company Overview:

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the company's chemical market and growing a portfolio of profitable customers & transactions through the creation of strong relationships with trustworthy clients. The ideal candidate will also take responsibility for setting up and pursuing the (trading) market development strategy for Nigeria.

Job Description:
  • Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth, expand the company's commercial activities in the industry with a focus on forex implications.
  • Commercial Input: Provide commercial input into business reviews and potential opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market & sales analysis to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide accurate reports on commercial performance, including sales forecasts, market analysis, and revenue projections.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, trade policies, and compliance requirements related to forex transactions.
  • Sales Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing reports for management review.
  • New Business Opportunities: Help in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 7+ years' experience in business development, sales, or commercial management.
  • Skills: Ability to develop and execute successful commercial/sales strategies, driving revenue growth and market expansion. Understanding of the complexity of a commercial role in Nigeria (such as forex). Ability to build relationships and deal with various types of people & cultures. Commercial prospecting and strong negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
Salary:

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
