Job Title: Contract Negotiation and Bid Strategy Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Negotiation and Bid Strategy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating contracts, developing bid strategies, and ensuring compliance with client requirements, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Negotiate contracts with clients to ensure mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  2. Develop and implement bid strategies that highlight the company's strengths and value proposition.
  3. Ensure that all bid submissions comply with client requirements, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to develop high-quality and competitive bid proposals, including technical documents, cost estimates, and project plans.
  5. Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand the scope, objectives, and requirements of each bid.
  6. Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions that may impact bid strategies.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure quotes and necessary documentation for bids.
  8. Maintain an organized and up-to-date bid document repository, including templates, past proposals, and supporting documents.
  9. Oversee the timely and accurate submission of bid documents to clients.
  10. Conduct post-bid analysis and participate in debriefs to gather feedback and continuously improve the bidding process.
  11. Identify potential clients and relate the company's products and services to them with the goal of closing out business deals.
  12. Lead the charge on market research plans to identify new opportunities.
  13. Work with executives to implement marketing strategies and new opportunities.
  14. Encourage new and existing clients by creating and improving proposals.
  15. Develop and pitch ideas for potential investors.
  16. Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help the company expand.
  17. Maintain existing business.
  18. Think critically when planning to assure project success.
  19. Search of potential clients and new projects opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management Sciences, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and bid strategy, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in securing contracts as a business development officer in an oil and gas firm.
  • Must have knowledge of napims and nipex regulation.
  • Strong knowledge of the Health sector, including project management, technical requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in bid management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of legal and contractual matters related to bid and tender processes.
  • Relevant certifications such as APMP, PMP, or industry-specific certifications are desirable.
