Director of Sales Growth

We are seeking an accomplished National Sales and Business Development Director to spearhead our Sales and Distribution team.
This role is crucial in driving sales expansion, increasing market share, and overseeing the strategic direction of our Enterprise FMCG business.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of 5-7 years in Sales and Marketing, particularly in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Define Strategic Objectives: Successful implementation of existing business services for defined FMCG products and services, including new business opportunities such as Telco Services, Payments Services, and E-commerce Products and Services.
- Momentum, Quarterly, and Yearly Growth Targets: Develop strategies to achieve growth targets.
- KPIs and Revenue Targets: Establish KPIs covering business operations and admirable revenue targets.
- Strategies for Business Operations Units (BOU): Develop strategies to grow BOU, implement stated strategies, and set up frameworks for onboarding external investments and investors.
- Performance Measurement and Feedback Culture: Develop Performance Progress Plans (PPPs) to measure transactional and financial performance of related BOU, including automation using existing tools or recommending new tools.
- Cross-Functional Team Management: Manage diverse cross-functional teams and their outputs, creating an open feedback culture.
- B2B Engagement Framework: Develop a framework for successful delivery and business performance of given BOU with Retailers, Dealers, Sales Agents, etc.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Channel Partner Network: Build and manage a significant channel partner network utilizing dealers/franchisees and key retail outlets to drive market penetration.
- Sales Strategies: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets in line with company goals.
- Territory Sales and Marketing Strategies: Devise effective territory sales and marketing strategies.
- New Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and expand market penetration.
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and distribution team to ensure optimal performance.
- Compliance and Monitoring: Ensure compliance with sales processes, policies, and industry regulations. Set realizable sales targets and effective monitoring policies to drive team performance.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Strategies: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to develop competitive strategies.
- Business Performance Reports: Develop business performance reports outlining business performance status at any given instance.
- Audit and Recommendations: Implement periodic business performance reports (Audit) and provide recommendations for better performance.
- Field Management Experience: Possess hands-on field management experience vital for BOU operations.
- Start-Up Business Development: Develop and manage start-up business, demonstrating experience and understanding of what it takes to grow startups.
- C-Level Reporting: Operate as a Trusted Adviser to business stakeholders and provide business advisory.
- Team and People Management: Possess team and people management skills, including training, coaching, and key leadership qualities.
- Budget Planning: Manage budget planning.
- Communication and Presentation: Exhibit excellent communication and presentation culture and skill set.
- Senior Sales Manager: Senior Sales Manager with at least 5-7 years sales experience in FMCG products and services, hands-on management experience.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading high-performing sales teams.
- FMCG Knowledge: Strong knowledge of FMCG sales strategies, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
- Negotiation and Communication: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
- Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Education: BSc/HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools, sales forecasting, and reporting systems.
