Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team at People Capacity Management, the Assistant Banking Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with existing and prospective customers to grow revenue and expand our corporate banking customer base.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Initiate and agree with customers to up/cross-sell the bank's products and services, responding to customer inquiries, requests, and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Follow up on prospective sales opportunities from discussions with existing and prospective customers to ensure conversion of new or repeat business.
  • Engage the market to acquire new corporate banking customers by building and nurturing business relationships based on trust, empathy, credibility, and ethics.
  • Perform customer acceptance checks before onboarding corporate clients in accordance with the bank's established policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Four years of related experience in the banking industry.
  • Good knowledge of banking industry regulations, compliance, and banking law.
  • A high level of numeracy to evaluate complex financial information.
  • Experience as an Executive Assistant or currently holding the role.
  • A commercial banking background.
