Job Title: Head of Sales

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our company's overall business objectives, focusing on revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets, ensuring a high-performance sales culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retail partners to enhance our company's presence in the market and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to inform business decisions.
  • Set ambitious sales targets and ensure the team meets or exceeds them through effective planning, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure product availability, promotional activities, and brand strategies are effectively aligned with sales efforts.
  • Oversee sales budgets, control costs, and ensure that sales operations are financially efficient.
  • Report regularly on sales performance, revenue, and profitability.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and sales channels, expanding our company's customer base and product distribution in the FMCG market.
  • Continuously review and improve sales processes, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and customer engagement, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior sales leadership role.
  • Experience within the FMCG space.
  • In-depth understanding of the FMCG market, including consumer behavior, distribution channels, and key industry trends.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing large sales teams.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a sales team to meet and exceed targets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and financial reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.
  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
