Business Development Executive

As a key member of the HRD Solutions team, you will play a critical role in driving the company's loan strategy to become the largest neobank in Nigeria.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for evaluating clients' financial information, verifying merchants and assessing risk ratios. Your primary goal is to execute the company's loan strategy by working closely with the Sales and Collections team.
Key Responsibilities- Merchant Onboarding: You will onboard viable merchants on the company's business platform.
- Credit Worthiness Evaluation: You will assess the credit worthiness of merchants.
- Merchant Verification: You will physically verify merchants' locations and business financial health for loan consideration.
- Financial Eligibility Assessment: You will interview merchants to determine their financial eligibility and feasibility.
- Sales Support: You will support merchants with questions they might have.
- Decision Justification: You will justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them.
- Product Knowledge: You will maintain an active knowledge base of all the organization's loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each merchant.
- Customer Relationship Building: You will build long-term, trusting relationships with customers.
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, proven customer service experience, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work with complicated financial data. Additionally, you must have a First Degree, at least one year of relevant work experience in a financial organization, preferably microfinance banks or fintechs, and a strong knowledge of loan application procedures.
