Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedent to provide valuable insights to our attorneys.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, including memorandums, affidavits, pleadings, court orders, and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage client communication effectively, scheduling appointments, maintaining relationships, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and file court documents electronically while adhering to court rules and deadlines.
  • Organize and maintain schedules for lawyers and legal professionals, ensuring meetings, court appearances, and deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Transcribe legal documents, meetings, and interviews accurately and confidentially to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date legal databases, document repositories, and case management systems to facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Create and update standard legal forms, templates, and precedents to streamline documentation processes.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations to safeguard the firm's reputation and interests.
  • Support new client intake procedures by gathering necessary information and documents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct conflict of interest checks to ensure representation is possible and feasible.
  • Prepare and format legal correspondence, including letters, memos, and emails, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Assist in preparing attorneys for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing documents, exhibits, and witness statements.
  • Perform due diligence checks and assist with compliance tasks related to legal matters to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain data privacy and confidentiality in accordance with laws and firm policies to uphold trust and respect.
