**National Sales Manager** A seasoned sales leader is sought to spearhead the growth of a company's retail and wholesale sales units, driving revenue and innovation through strategic planning and team management.

Job Objectives:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives, ensuring consistency with the company's overall strategy.
  • Direct and manage the wholesale business, including operations and sales teams.
  • Plan and execute sales programs to meet revenue and expense targets.
  • Drive the growth of company-owned retail business outlets through strategic planning and team management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage sales teams, including sales managers and other sales personnel.
  • Assign territories and accounts to sales teams.
  • Resolve customer problems and negotiate with key customers.
  • Manage the work of the Head of Retail Operations, Head of Innovation/E-commerce, and other team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales revenue through retail, wholesale, innovation, and e-commerce channels.
  • Drive the adoption of analytics in e-commerce and retail business.
  • Use data and market intelligence to forecast sales and set performance goals.
  • Work with marketing to implement in-bound marketing activities to increase retail traffic and sales.
  • Oversee the e-commerce front and back-end operations.
  • Manage the sales P&L or contribution margin.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales unit managers and team members.
  • Assign and re-assign retail outlet managers to ensure the best performers handle strategic outlets.
  • Implement a talent management pipeline system to support skills headcount and turnover patterns.
  • Instill a sales and service culture across all outlets and sales business units.

Minimum Education Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in sales management.
  • Retail chain management experience, preferably in FMCG, CPG, cosmetics, or health and personal care industries.
  • E-commerce experience, including operational management.
  • Indirect sales and channel sales management experience, especially in FMCG businesses.
  • Experience with route-to-market for wholesale and retail operations.
  • Experience with salesforce automation or CRM.
