Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership and business development, with a strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills. They will be responsible for leading a team of junior sales professionals, developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve commercial goals and market expansion objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior sales team members and support the Business Development Manager.
  • Evaluate the team's performance against revenue targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including sourcing potential leads, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and engaging in tenders.
  • Cultivate and leverage industry contacts to enhance market visibility and establish valuable client relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, assess industry trends, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Develop effective sales approaches and pricing frameworks to ensure competitive and profitable positioning in the market.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to nurture long-term partnerships and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Lead negotiations and close complex sales deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to adjust strategies and optimize results.
