Position Summary
- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding market presence, while identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and managing client relationships, to achieve revenue growth and overall corporate objectives.
- The role requires a deep understanding of the Oil & Gas, Power, Marine & Industrial markets vis-a-viz the market trends, regulatory environments and competitive landscape.
- The ideal candidate will be a passionate, proactive and self-driven individual, with a proven record of success in business origination and conversion, key account management, commercial negotiation and stakeholder management.
Essential Job Function
- Develop and implement business development and commercial strategies to drive revenue growth, optimize pricing and profitability, increase shareholder values.
- Manage relationship with High Value Customers HVCs while developing prospective High Value Leads HVLs
- Quick Market Intelligence QMI; provide bankable insight and analysis of existing and potential customers, sales opportunities for Onshore and Offshore EPIC Projects.
- Develop and foster strategic alliances with leading global partners OEMs-Original Equipment Manufacturers & ISPs-Independent Service Providers to broaden revenue stream.
- Develop and implement ‘Go-To-Market GTM strategies for new products and services.
- In-depth market research/analysis and prepare periodic business reports to key stakeholders management team, partners, customers et.al on new and on-going projects in the Energy, Power and Industrial sectors.
- Develop and manage business relationships with key state-owned business units such as NUIMS, NIPEX, NETCO, NEPL, NGC and relevant regulators such as NCDMB, NUPRC, NMPDRA amongst others.
- Lead and supervise project reviews, proposal creation and tendering for prospective opportunities in the Energy, Power, Marine and Industrial sectors.
- Lead commercial negotiations and structure short, medium and long-term service contracts with key customer accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams Operations Delivery, Supply Chain Management, Finance and QHSE to achieve corporate objectives.
- Attend relevant networking events and industry exhibitions while organizing company-sponsored conferences targeted at key end-users and decision-makers.
Education:
- Minimum: HND or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field. Master MSc or MBA -Preferably
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 10-Years experience in Business Development or Commercial role, 3 of which must be at managerial level.
- In-depth knowledge of the Power, Oil & Gas and some basic knowledge of the Marine industry.
- Knowledge of Rotating Equipment & Machinery & experience with EPIC company will be an added advantage.
