About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Operational Data Manager to oversee and coordinate an enumeration exercise as part of our ongoing project in Ibadan. This is a 3-6 month contract position ideal for candidates with field supervision experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of enumerators during field data collection activities.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data collection by field teams following project guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions and briefings for enumerators to prepare them for fieldwork.
  • Monitor daily progress, resolve issues in the field, and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Perform quality control checks on collected data to maintain accuracy and reliability.
  • Report progress, challenges, and outcomes to project managers on a regular basis.
  • Maintain detailed records of field activities, team performance, and challenges encountered.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of field supervision experience, preferably in enumeration or data collection projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
    • Proficiency in data collection tools and mobile apps.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
