">The Corporate Affairs Officer plays a pivotal role in navigating the complexities of government incentives and regulatory compliance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and leveraging opportunities to optimize our operations, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness.

">Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Staying updated on government incentives provided by the Federal Government of Nigeria, including import duty exemptions, pioneer status incentives, brand fee waivers, NOTAP registration processes, and export grant commissions.">
  • Advising the company on eligibility criteria, application processes, and benefits associated with these incentives.">
  • Strategizing and coordinating efforts to leverage incentives, optimizing operations, reducing costs, and enhancing competitiveness.">
  • Managing the end-to-end process of applying for and securing government incentives, including preparing documentation, liaising with authorities, and monitoring compliance with approval conditions.">
  • Tracking and reporting on incentive utilization, ensuring maximum benefits and compliance with reporting requirements.">
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and statutory requirements governing operations.">
  • Identifying and addressing potential compliance issues or regulatory risks related to import/export activities, tax obligations, corporate governance, and other legal matters.">
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and industry bodies to resolve compliance-related issues and maintain positive relationships.">
  • Cultivating strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to stay informed about policy changes, regulatory developments, and industry trends.">
  • Representing the company in meetings, forums, and industry events to advocate for interests and influence policy decisions impacting business operations.">
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including legal, finance, operations, and procurement, to address statutory issues, leverage incentives, and achieve business objectives.">
  • Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective performance and professional development within the team of corporate affairs professionals.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or finance or a related field.">
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate affairs or a related field, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.">
  • Experience in a managerial or leadership role is often required for senior positions.">
  • Familiarity with the industry and an understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry trends.">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.">
