Unit Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and providing accurate quantitative information on our business's financial position, liquidity, and cash flows.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience with bookkeeping, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify areas for improvement. This role requires a keen eye for numerical accuracy and the capacity to analyze business operations, trends, cost, revenue, and financial data to inform strategic decisions.

  • Audit financial documents and procedures to ensure adherence to tax regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements, calculate tax payments, and prepare tax returns.
  • Provide accurate financial information, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor stock levels, minimize waste through regular stock counts, and analyze usage reports.
  • Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and inform business decisions.
  • Enforce Compliance by adhering to company general and financial policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Unit Accountant.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • ICAN or ACAA certification is advantageous.
